Let’s face it, change is inevitable. Some changes can be small and simple but bigger changes can require a complete shift in culture. Establishing a team culture that is aligned with the broader organization is sometimes easier said than done. Team members are often deeply rooted in traditional mindsets, trusted instincts, and possibly even old bad habits.

We believe that establishing a team culture begins with a solid understanding of the organization’s culture and the current sub-culture of the team. This understanding will help leaders prepare a plan for the transition and forward movement.

This week we share our experiences and areas of focus that can help leaders establish a new culture in their team. We talk about how to lead a team through the transitions and what to do if one team member gets stuck in the transition.

What has been your experience with establishing a culture? Share your successes or challenges with us at HeyThere@ExtraShotOfLeadership.com.
